Blue Corn Cooperative
15lbs of organic, family farmed, locally grown veggies, fruits, and herbs each week.
Mid June to September | $30 per bag | Seattle based CSA

How it works
1.
Each week starting in July the Fernandez family of Sunnyside, WA drops freshly, harvested food off to our cooperative.
2.
The cooperative then sorts the food into individual member bags.
3.
Later in the week members pick up their food upon making their payment and leave behind last week’s empty box.
The Blue Corn Co-op is project of LELO that helps in the transformation of our society. Members of the Blue Corn Co-op act together to meet the common needs and aspirations of its participants regarding food. We share ownership and make decisions democratically. Our Co-op is a collective effort to support the food sovereignty movement in our community. In the Blue Corn Co-op everybody collaborates and doesn’t compete, our decisions are driven by our Commonwealth and not by the individual profits.
Using the methodology of the Slow Food Movement and Popular Education we organize political events and social gatherings where we talk about the environment, culture and how the industrialization and standardization of food are impacting us — and how the industrial agriculture economy is affecting our families, communities, and countries.
